Welcome to Freddicus Game Studios, the one-man indie game shop fueled by late-night coding, endless frenetic debugging, and the support of his friends and family. I’m Alfred Sterphone, a veteran software engineer with nearly 20 years in the industry who decided it was finally time to build the games rattling around in my head.
Who Am I?

By day, I’ve spent my career working on large-scale systems and backend engineering. By night (and weekends, and whenever inspiration strikes), I’m a game developer building unique, cross-platform experiences.
I thrive on making games that feel fun, sharp, and a little unexpected—sometimes poking fun at the industry itself. Whether it’s satirical microtransaction mechanics, lightning-fast reaction tests, or charming 2D worlds, I’m here to create games that surprise players in the best way.
Author’s note: I know the keyboard short-cut for the em dash, so you’ll never really know who’s writing the content for this website–it’s option + dash, by the way. 😎
Recent Games I’ve Worked On
- Tap the Thing! (2022) – A minimalist reaction game where speed and precision pay off. Built to be quick, fun, and endlessly replayable.
- Down (2024) – Prototyped a game concept where the player needs to stay in the light in order to maintain their fortitude to progress.
- OMG! – Overhead Micro Game (2025) – In development! A cross-platform 2D game with hand-crafted levels, clean UI, and classic, satisfying gameplay loops.
